WIPs and longed for gadget

Now he sleeps a bit I have actually finished some stuff completely (a hat for the child, but no photos of it finished) and some more stuff is nearlydone:

The Wraparound Jacket from Erika Knight Classic is just waiting to be endwoven and sewn up. Here it is on the back of the sofa with some mess behind it on the ironing board (houseproud? not me...!):

The Sleep Sacque from Boho Baby Knits was hiding in a bag with the long lost tape measure, and it turns out is now too short for the Giant Baby (he's in 6 - 9 or 9 - 12 months clothes already, not fat just very loooong. His father is 6' 7"). So I chopped the bottom off and started some ribbing, and it'll become a stripey jumper for the festival season:

(yes, there is more mess there on the dining table, you should have seen it two hours beforehand).

And finally my new pride and joy. Usually when a fibre addict says this she's referring to some Lantern Moon needles, or a swanky new spindle, or somesuch. This has nothing to do with knitting, and everything to do with cheese:

I have wanted a Microplane grater for about 15 years now. Every time I go in a posh kitchen shop I pick them up, think 'Oh, I CANNOT spend £20.00 on a GRATER!' and put them down again. However this weekend I went to visit a friend and ended up in Thame (having scrumptious afternoon tea type things in a place I think called Ramseys. Blueberry Cheesecake. Yum) and I finally gave in to the call of the grater in the posh kitchen shop there. This was not an impulse buy. And I tell you what, it's worth every penny of the £18.49 it cost (and the cooker needs cleaning, obviously).

Glad to see the needles are clicking again! :) How is the little one?

I love those graters! I do the same and visit posh kitchen shops and pick things up and put them back down again. My favourite is the knives section.

*is now scared of Kai*

I love my gadgets. My new favourite is my Teabag Bin. *is easily amused*

Cute stripey jumper, too! My two are destined to be giants as well. My eldest is has just turned 10 and is past my shoulder. :-(

hehe, who has time for housework when there's babies and knitting to distract you? ;)
