Now he's 12 weeks old (!), life is getting a bit easier, though he does like to spend quite a lot of time on one of our shoulders - meaning the one handedness carries on! This makes the knitting quite difficult, but I have managed to produce a pair of socks between feeds/giggling sessions/screaming bouts.
We have had two baby brain related felting disasters:
1 merino handknit baby blanket (my fault)
1 handknit jumper - the Erika Knight Classic one (sob) (not my fault)
I also bought some yarn (! because I have so much time and not so much stash (this is a lie x 2)):
Araucania Aysen

Colourway PT473. It's Very Lovely, so soft and they've some great earthy colours.
My LYS has started to stock some 'unusual' yarns. The swine, it just makes it easier to sneak it into the house, what with no squashy packets arriving at the door with the postie.
Also taken up the poor neglected Stormwater shawl again (I have only been knitting it for two years now) which gets a big thumbs up:

Awww he is so cute! :)
I've just 'found' Aruacania too and they have some stunning yarns!
I learnt to peel potatoes one-handed when my kids were wee, but never tangled with yarn then. However, when your feeding you can watch all kinds of DVds, listen to music and read books that normally get squeezed out of your life!
You babba is very sweet!
